16 – 18 April 2019 UK Magnetic Society

Dr John Reeve successfully delivered a course on "Design of Electric Machines" for the #UKMagSoc in Manchester recently, alongside Prof Tim Miller and Dennis Kampen.

Many thanks to Alastair Stewart of #UKMagSoc for organising so well, and all attendees for making it such an engaging event.

Details will be posted soon of further public courses to be run later in the year around the UK (also available for in-house delivery) and unveiling our new modular electric machines & drives teaching system which is currently being prototyped. 27-28 Feb 2019 FluxSys Attends the Future Powertrain Conference 2019

This was the largest FPC event since it started in 2014, with over 500 attendees and bigger conference rooms at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull. FluxSys had a busy schedule of attending presentations, project discussions and exploration of new technology ideas. We were very pleased to see so many old faces and several new ones.

Thank you for all the support on FluxSys’ new Teaching Motor – “A hands-on safe-voltage modular electric motor that helps accelerate the skills and learning for e-machines”.

This is a bench-top motor rig, that easily converts from a Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor to Induction Motor (IM) to Switched Reluctance (SR) within the same housing to help explore effects of rotor designs, stator constructions and manufacturing effects for advancing the learning of electric motors. It is well suited for graduate and post-graduate courses, including PhD modules, and runs well in Tier1 and OEM departmental training courses.

Watch this space for the launch dates for the teaching motor and a road-show near you!
